Ingredients:
1 fresh Ahi Tuna Steak
1/2 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
Sea Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1-2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 lemon
Directions:
Turn your oven on broil. Coat a baking pan with foil and place tuna on the pan. Drizzle olive oil, soy sauce and juice from the lemon over the tuna. Add the garlic on top. Sprinkle Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and let it sit in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. If you are tight on time skip this step. Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Sear both sides of the tuna, about 2 minutes on each side.
Remove tuna from the skillet, place back on the baking sheet and sprinkle more salt and pepper on top to taste. Broil the tuna in the oven for about 15 minutes, or until cooked to your liking. I like my tuna cooked all the way through so I keep it in for about 15-20 minutes. Most people enjoy tuna seared so make sure you know how you like your fish before you over cook it. If you are not normally a fish person, I recommend cooking it like I do.
