Green juices are an amazing way to incorporate vegetables and fruit into your diet. Who wouldn't like disguising 2 cups of spinach in a breakfast smoothie? This juice is packed with fiber and nutrients to get you through the morning and delivers almost half of your daily fruit and vegetable needs. No need to be scared of the “green” here, the spinach and kale is totally disguised by all of the tropical fruits used in this juice. If you prefer a smoothie over a juice, add a few ice cubes. If you have a long morning ahead of you, don’t be afraid to add a scoop of vanilla protein powder to the juice. The recipe makes 2 servings.Ingredients:2 cups spinach or kale6 oz pineapple juice1 small green apple1 orange1 ripe banana¼ cup pineapple chunks½ cup waterJuice from ¼ lemonJuice from ½ limeDirections:Place all ingredients into a blender and blend on high until smooth, about 1 minute. If using a Vitamix (recommended), turn on and quickly increase speed to 10, flip on high and let blend for 1 minute. Decrease speed to 3 for about 30 seconds. Serve over ice.
