Shirataki Spaghetti




Spaghetti for only 15 calories a serving---have you ever heard of such a thing? Well, it's time to get familiar because Shirataki noodles might be your new favorite.   
Eric and I cooked our Shirataki Spaghetti for dinner tonight. We prepared it like we would regular spaghetti, with marinara, fresh basil and parmesan cheese.  
I have to admit we were skeptical at first because the spaghetti seemed too good to be true. I mean come on it's gluten free, fat free, vegan and all natural! 
   That saves you about 200 calories compared to whole wheat spaghetti. 
The brand we bought was Pasta Zero and I highly recommend it.  The taste is similar to regular spaghetti but the texture is slightly less firm.
Next time spaghetti is on the menu try swapping out regular for shirataki. These noodles seem like they would also be great in a ramen dish or soup.
